WHY PHI CHI THETA?
Welcome to Phi Chi Theta! We are so excited to have you here.
Phi Chi Theta is a professional business fraternity that puts passion and brotherhood at the forefront of everything we do. Through our unique opportunities and resources — such as our four internal groups, pledgeship program, and family system — we aim to provide our members with meaningful experiences that go beyond classroom learning, as well as guidance from a strong community of brothers.
At Phi Chi Theta, we pride ourselves on our diverse array of interests. In our organization, no two brothers are alike, and that is reflected in the opportunities we provide for members. By empowering active members to explore new passions, we have seen our brothers thrive in essentially every industry and leadership position out there! Whether you’re interested in a career in investment banking, consulting, software engineering, or education, not only is there a place for you in Phi Chi Theta, but there are also 100+ brothers eager to help you reach both personal and professional aspirations.
From the lifelong friendships to the countless experiences during my time in PCT thus far, I can honestly say joining this amazing organization has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. That being said, I highly encourage you to attend our Information Night on Thursday, January 30th from 5-7pm at Foellinger Auditorium to hear how our members’ own experiences in PCT have significantly impacted each of their lives. We cannot wait to meet you all!
Best, Gautham Shankar

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What does Phi Chi Theta look for in an applicant?
We seek out potential new members that are passionate, innovative, and ambitious. We evaluate applicants equally on their potential for development as well as their qualities and experiences.
Can I sign up for an interview if I am unable to attend Information Night?

Yes! We strongly encourage attendance at Info Night. However, if you are unable to attend, email pct.vpmembership@gmail.com to schedule an interview.
Do I have to be in the College of Business to join Phi Chi Theta?

No. Despite being a business fraternity, we gladly welcome students from all colleges. We have a variety of students from the Colleges of Engineering, Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and more. Phi Chi Theta invites all students with an interest in business and a desire to pursue a career in business to rush.
What is the difference between a social and professional fraternity?

A social fraternity mainly strives to develop brotherhood amongst members. A professional fraternity does that, while also developing professional skills through meaningful experiences, whether they are case competitions, internships, or studying abroad. We have members who are a part of both Greek life and Phi Chi Theta.

What is pledgeship?
During this semester, you will take part in a 12-week pledge process to focus on building yourself professionally through case competitions, chapter workshops, alumni and active coffee chats, and corporate networking events! You will also participate in several service and brotherhood bonding events, gain exposure to our Internal Groups, and even get your own mini-family within PCT through our Family Program.
If I do not receive a bid, can I rush again?

Absolutely, we have many members who did not receive a bid until their 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th time rushing.
Does Phi Chi Theta offer a scholarship to help pay membership fees?

Yes, there is a national scholarship that you can apply for once joining. Regardless of the scholarship, all members can work with our Vice President of Finance and our National office to establish a fair, affordable pay rate.
